Cheapest Universities In Nigeria – It is a truism that the cost of training a child in any Nigerian university is expensive, but it is also apparent that the school fee of some universities in Nigeria is extraordinarily cheap. For this reason, I vehemently disagree with the proposition which asserts that universities in Nigeria are expensive. Today, I will be making a list of the cheapest universities in Nigeria.

Currently, I can boldly assert that the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University has achieved its aim to a very large extent.

It is worthwhile to also note that UNN is the indigenous university of Nigeria established in 1960.

This list wouldn’t have been complete without the Amadu Bello University (ABU). ABU is probably the cheapest university in Nigeria. The university is located at Zaria, Kaduna state, Nigeria. It is evidently the best university in the northern part of Nigeria today. Suffice it to say that ABU Zaria is one of the top 7 (seven) universities in Nigeria.

Bayero University (BUK) is the best university, located in Kano state Nigeria. The university was established in 1977 to help in the development of education in Nigeria. Bayero University (BUK) was first called “Amadu Bello college” when it was created. This name was later changed to what it is today. In my opinion, students who want to attend a cheap university in the north should apply for admission to Bayero University (BUK).

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB):

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is also one of the cheapest universities in Nigeria. The university was created in 1988 by the federal government of Nigeria, so as to improve agricultural development in Nigeria. However, it should be noted that even though the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta is a university of agriculture, the university also allow the study of other courses.

The university was established in 1980 so as to enhance technological development in Nigeria. Today, FUTO is also one of the most populated universities in Nigeria. It has about 30,000 students currently schooling in it.

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU)

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is also one of the most affordable schools you can attend in Nigeria if you want to pursue a good degree in a state university in the southern region of the country.

The school is situated at Obio Akpa, Oruk Anam local government area of the state. AKSU also operates a multi-campus institution system. The range of AKSU school fees is ₦53,000 and above.

Kogi State University (KSU)

KSU boasts some of the best lecturers in the educational sector. It was established in the year 1999 by the former governor of the state.
