About Big Brother Naija (BBN)

Big Brother Naija, which is formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality competition TV series, based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which 12 to 21 contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth $171,428.57 equivalent to 60,000,000 Nigerian Naira, and other material gifts, at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers. The first season of the show first aired on DStv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2006.

Voting results are verified by the Auditing company. In the first edition of Big Brother Nigeria now known as Big brother Naija, a 25 years old name Katung Aduwak won the grand prize. The second edition of the Big Brother Naija was won by Efe Ejeba in 2021 and Miracle from Imo state emerge the winner of the 2021 BBNaija edition (Third season) while Mercy Eke emerge the winner of BBNaija 4th edition.
