Akorede Babatunde Okunola Saheed popularly called Saheed Osupa, is a songwriter, singer, producer, and artist, He was born on 7th August 1969. In the city Lagos State, Nigeria. Osupa Saheed is a popular Fuji music artist, he has won numinous awards, moreso, The talented Fuji singer has played many roles in the Yoruba movie Industry.
The singer loves music most especially Fuji music, while growing, he had wanted to be a music star, which he kept pressing hard to achieve his dreams, now he is one of the biggest Fuji artists, you can’t talk about Fuji music in the Yorubas with mentioning Saheed Osupa. The king of Fuji.
Early Life
Saheed Osupa was born in Lagos State, in the year 1969 August precisely though he is an origin of Ibadan (Ayeye). The Fuji musical king grew in Lagos where he developed his talent, making sure he achieve the best from it. Also, he plays in the Yoruba movie.
He stays somewhere in Ajegunle Lagos State, that particular area is quite a rough area, mostly hoodlums are found in such places, Osupa Saheed, didn’t allow his background way him down, His father was a lover of music.
King Saheed Osupa (KSO) went through his primary and secondary education in Lagos State, he later went on for his higher education, the dream of wanting to become a music star has finally come to reality for KSO.
Career
King Saheed Osupa started his music career as a teenager, he learned how to compose songs on his own, then later mixed with English, before he learned and master how to compose in a Fuji way to make it more entertaining.
His first album was titled Fuji Fa Disco, Followed by Fuji Blues. He has released over 40 studio albums including a 4-in-1 studio album titled Mr. Music. In 2008, Saheed Osupa was declared the “King of Fuji Music” by Ayinde Barrister.
Saheed Osupa is the HIP FUJI Creator, On 12 June 2018, he released his first hip Fuji Album titled: Non-Stop.
On 20 December 2014 Saheed Osupa released a hip hop single titled “Vanakula” produced by K-Solo. The following 13th April 2015, he released another K-Solo-produced single titled “African Beauty” with vocals from Yetunde Omobadan. On 8 August 2015, he featured Seriki in another single titled “Womi”.
