“We have not been able to verify your authority to this domain. On your domain registrar’s website, locate your Domain Name System (DNS) settings and enter the following two CNAMEs“.

A Security Pin: First, you have to provide a security pin that will enable you to protect your domain from anyone else. The security pin should be anything you like. Any number you want.

Your Email Account: Provide a valid and reliable email address for your domain. It is always advisable to use the same email address you used to register the domain.

Domain Name: Now provide the domain name you bought from whogohost in the space provided.

Step 10: Now, you have to fill the Cname area. This is where you will use the information you copied from that error message that displayed in step 7.

To fill this part of the form, you have to copy and paste the Cname information you saw in the previous step. Notice that, the first and second boxes have automatically been filled with the same CNAME record you have in your blog.

So you can simply leave those boxes and fill the 3rd and 4th (with the information in Step 8) respectively with the ones from your own blogspot site. That is all.

Step 11: To confirm that you are not a robot or a scammer, copy the text in red into the recapcha box. And click on the SEND button.

After the above step, whogohost will send to messages to the email address you entered in step 9. The first email will confirm that you just made a change to your Cname records. The second email will come after some hours or minutes. In that one, you will be told that your changes were successful. Thus, you can now complete the whole process.

Step 12: If you have received that message, you can complete the whole process.

Simply login to your blogspot dashboard again, and click on SETTINGS in the left side menu.

Click on “+ Setup a 3rd party URL for your blog”, and enter your registered domain again” (without www. before your domain), and click on save.

Step 13: Lastly click on edit domain again, and check the redirect check-box below your domain. Click on save again. (This step is very important if you don’t want to lose your domain name).
